October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. As a Certified Healthcare Assistant & Social Worker, let me say this loud:Early detection saves lives. Silence doesn’t. Breast cancer doesn’t care about your age, your title, or your bank account.35 or 65 — it can touch any of us. That’s why I speak to Women CEOs, Leaders, and Executives 35-85 — because we lead everyone else, but we forget to lead ourselves to the clinic.
*3 things I would love every woman reading this to do TODAY:
- CHECK — 5 minutes. Feel. Look. In the shower, in front of the mirror. You know your body more than any doctor.
- 2. SCREEN — 1 appointment. If you are 40+ or have family history — book your mammogram. Not next month. This week.
- 3. SHARE — 1 woman. Send this post to one woman — your sister, your mother, your colleague, your daughter. Purpose speaks loud when we speak for each other.

As an HCA, I learnt: Care work is equal work. But self-care is also care work. You cannot pour from an empty breast, an empty body, an empty health. You must be tested to be trusted — and sometimes that test is a simple check. This October, I wear pink not for fashion. I wear pink for purpose. For every woman I have cared for. For every woman listening.Check. Screen. Share.
– With care,
